In the baptism record of Jan Willem the name of the father is spelled "Albert Abbink"; consequently, and conform the local patronymic rules in 1804, the LNAB of Jan Willem should be changed from Broekman into Alberts (Albertsen?).
His name probably changed into Abbink because he was married to Hendrika Harmsen op Abbink and he was called Abbink from there on.
So according to the baptism record of Jan Willem his name should be Abbink or Jan Willem Alberts Abbink.
On her death certificate his name is Jan Willem Abbink.
The same for his sister Garritje.
Thanks for your reflections and comment! As for Albert, I went through the baptism records 1752-1795 in the NH church book in Hengelo(Gld) and did not find any reliable indication. No Broekmans mentioned until ±1785 and only a few Abbinks. However it seems that in this part of the province patronymics were not so common as elsewhere and maybe Abbink is a better guess for the LNAB than Alberts(en). Certainly better than Broekman.
