Anne Berkeley was the second daughter and co-heiress of Thomas Berkeley, Esq., of Avon, Hampshire, and his wife Elizabeth Neville, daughter of Sir George Neville, Lord Bergavenny, by his 1st wife Margaret Fenne. Thomas and Elizabeth (Neville) Berkeley married before 1 July 1491.[1] Anne's date and place of birth are unknown and are estimated.
Anne was a legatee in the 1506 will of her grandfather, Sir Edward Berkeley. Before 1522, Anne was co-heiresses to her niece Anne Berkeley, inheriting one-fourth of the interest in the manor of Syde, Gloucestershire.[1]
Anne married John Brent of Charing, Kent, son of John Brent of Charing.[1] The date and place of their marriage is unknown. They had two sons and two daughters:
Margaret, died in 1560, married first John Dering, Esq. and second John Moore, Esq., having issue with both[1]
Anne died 1571/2, predeceased by her husband John, whose estate had been administered in 1565.[1]'
