I am looking for information on Richard Monahan and his wife, Mary Ellen Molloy (or Malloy). They both were from Ireland but they lived in Newcastle-Upon-Tyne, England for a while. Richard may have been in the Royal Navy, but this I am not sure of. Richard and Mary had 6 children:
1 George, who married Rose (unknown surname) and lived in Australia, no issue.
2 James, who married Maggie (unknown surname) and possibly had children. They lived in England
3 John, no known spouse/children
4 Cecilia, who married Harry Bell and had two children. They lived in several places, including Australia
5 Thomas Alfred, born 1889 and died 1954, married Violet Emery and had three daughters. Immigrated to the US and lived in Pennsylvania and California.
6 Katherine, who married Daniel Lindo and had three children
The four eldest children were born in Ireland, while the two younger children were from England. I have heard that the Mollys were a musical family, but I do not know how Mary Ellen is connected to them. Mary Ellen may have also married a Lowe, probably after Richard's death.
Any information on Richard or Mary Ellen's families (parents, siblings, etc.) and birth and death dates is greatly appreciated. I estimate they were born in the 1850's or 1860's.
