Is there a list of people with their ID # & names?

Frequently while trying to correct some problems I had to look up an ID # for a person. I had to get off the page I was on to look it up.  Getting back to the page was awkward and sometimes time consuming.  If WikiTree had a page similar to the Watchlist, but formatted with full name, birth &/or death date and ID# I could print it out or make a word document for my screen to refer to instead of jumping off page.

Just a suggestion, but I think it would be helpful to all of us.

Also, why can't I always find a person who is in my tree when I type their name into the search boxes at the top of the page?

Thanks!

Instead of leaving the page you're on, open a new tab in your browser and click on your Wikitree bookmark.  Then do your searching for the Wiki-ID or whatever else you need to find, when you find it you can click on the original tab you were first working on and you'll be right back where you were before your search.

For your second question I can't say because that always works for me.

On the drop down menu in the upper right corner of this and most pages - "Find" - "People Search" Open it in another tab on your computer. I leave it open most of the time so I can search for someone else to get their ID's or whatever.

You should be able to find a person when you type their name into the search box.  You need to spell the name correctly, or you can use a * wildcard. If it's a very common name there will be 100's of them and you'll only see the first 100 so you'll have to narrow your search by using a date on the "People Search" page.

Also if you have just created the person or edited the spelling of their first name, the system has a lag time and it won't be there until tomorrow. I think it updates each day in the middle of the night.
