A John William Trim married Emma Lockyer, 4 August 1894, Poole, Dorset.

An Ernest William's birth is registered in Poole, Dorset (Vol.2a,Page 264, q Jan-Mar 1892), but with surname Lockyer.

Likely Ernest, in 1911, was a leading stoker in the Royal Navy serving in the Mediterranean, although single,( Ernest Lockyer, b abt.1891, Poole).Possible he may have died in Poole 1965.

hi, thanks for this information, it had not occured to me to look for as Lockyer because he is listed as trim in the 1901 census. However when I looked into records using Lockyer Ican find a record of him living at the same address as my grandfather in the electoral register for 1919 albeit absent from home and as you say serving as a stoker in the Royal Navy.

I saw your tree on Ancestry. The only records I see that remotely compare are for a soldier killed in 1918 in the war.
