Do you have access or know how I can view this Ancestry.com record elsewhere? [closed]

I find this record listed on a search with ancestry.com that appears to be the one I need, showing the father of Mirza Skinner as H. J. Skinner, but I am unable to view the record.  Until now I have been unable to find any clue as to Mirza's father.

It is listed in Vermont Vital Records 1720-1908.  Although there are other records about Mirza/Merzy of Vermont listed here, the 3rd one down is the one I most wish I could see:

Is there a kind soul out there that has access to the record, or knows somewhere else I can view it, and is willing to share the information?  I would GREATLY appreciate it.

Thank you very much.

FamilySearch has a collection, "Vermont Vital Records, 1760-1954" in which a death record appears for "Mirza Skinner" who died St. Albans, Vermont,  29 October 1868.

This collection sports an index and digital images, but these are images of the "cards" that were developed by Vermont. For this entry entry, see

"Vermont, Vital Records, 1760-1954," index and images, FamilySearch (https://familysearch.org/pal:/MM9.1.1/V8M1-SR3 : accessed 29 Oct 2014), Mirza Skinner, 29 Oct 1868, Death; citing State Capitol Building, Montpelier; FHL microfilm 27686.

The index and the card report the father's name as H. J. Skinner.

She was born at Orange; said aged 73 yrs, 8 mos and 16 days at death.

Hope this helps.

The images on ancestry.com are only the index cards as well. Looks like the same collection; one free, one not.
Just double-checked. The images on both sites are the same (although the freebie on familysearch.org is lower resolution and therefore not as easy to read).
If you download the image on Family Search, it is a high resolution image.

Robert,

I don't have acess to ancestry.com and very much resent their seeming monopoly on genealogical information, for which I consider their membership fees to be a ransom.

I did a quick check for other ways to obtain the information and found the following website:

https://www.sec.state.vt.us/archives-records/vital-records.aspx/

That page states "there are no restrictions on public access to Vermont vital records".  it also states that "the state's registry is not complete, especially for pre-1909 records" and provides a list of town clerks, with advise to contact them.

I didn't pursue it any further, but expect that there are a lot of towns in Vermont that each have a clerk.  If you can narrow down the area to shrink the number of clerks you'd need to contact, perhaps that might do the job for you.

Robert,  I do have an account with ancestry.  If you send your question, all data you want to know,  I will try to help.     It is not a big deal

It may take a while, I would try for you.

Ancestry compiles all of those files for you.  That is what you pay for.  There is no monopoly, if you want a file that is in the clerks office in a small town, in a different country just spend the money to fly there, rent a car, drive to the office and pay then for a copy.  You do not need Ancestry at all.

Another option is to use Ancestry at your local library or Family History Center. It is always available at the Family History Centers and very often more conveniently at your local library.

I second your local library, I use mine all the time for accessing Ancestry.  It's called Ancestry Library Edition.  Take along a USB stick drive for any records you want to save, or you can print them but the library might charge a small fee.
I agree with you Brenda! :-)  None of the libraries I have went to charge you to use a USB stick drive.  Most charge 25 cents to 35 cents a sheet per page copied.  But, be ware you may want to check before you copy things to find out what type of things are more expensive.  I will tell you this, most charge you more if you are getting them in color.  The ones in color usually range between 75 cents to $1.00, but some are more.  Best wishes enjoy what you can discover, hope this helps some of you.  Also, I might add:  Most libraries that have a genealogy section regardless, usually even the smaller libraries have a geneaologist on staff that you can call on the phone and ask any question and they will try to help you find it.  However, some things you will have to go and find them on your own.  I might add that most  won't charge you for this service as long as it's not  a extensive or deep search as long as you don't do it all the time.  You can get things from other sites at the library for free that you can not get otherwise also.  The list of things you can get that way is pretty extensive.
