Another Cousin wants to know how they connect to our Global Tree!

Question

This Perez family needs a connection to the big tree. There isn't a whole lot to go on, but if someone feels up to it, we have a nice set of grandparents to get us started:

Jose Maria Perez married to Maria Rodriguez

and

Tomas Rivera married to Monserrate Bahamonde

Update: I think I've got this! Monserrate Bahamonde's niece Magdalena Bahamonde had a second husband Herbert Spain  who has several colonial Virginia ancestors. It looks like the shortest connection is through Mary Elizabeth Goad, although that includes the problematic Ann Isham.

Anyway, there are several Virginia connections and it will be great to add this family.

I'm making some good progress on the Bahamonde family. They're from Ponce, Puerto Rico, and there are plenty of records in Puerto Rico and New York.

Come along and give a hand! The practice of using both paternal and maternal surnames is really helpful for seeing the relationships in the census records.

I added birth years and places to all four grandparents. Let's do this!

I have been stalled with my father and grandfather. I know both are named Jose' Antonio Arroyo (father is still living). My father's mother was Aurea Rivera. I think my grandfather, who died in New York in 1961, was Jose' Antonio Arroyo Munoz but not certain. Aurea had brothers Americo and Julio. They were from Ponce, Puerto Rico.

Maggie, let me shoot her a message and see if she can help. A lot of these requests give us bare bones to work with because so many people know so little about the grandparents. I cannot fathom not know who and where my were, but not everyone is nearly so obsessed as me :-)
