Trying to make sence of the many Robert Patterson's of Ohio/West Virginia/Kentucky. These Patterson's show up in the Thomas and Robert Browse family papers kept at WVU,s Library . all 7.5 feet worth. also the family shows up in three or four books . The tie up or grey area is the Robert Patterson marrage to Sarah VanMeter in 1804 . It's supposed to be their child , Robert Patterson that was born in 1807 , but I have another report he was born 1817. I have found where several Robert patterson married numerous times and named more than one child Robert . And the brothers did the same things. any info on Robert Henry Patterson / John Aurther Patterson / James W. Patterson / Archie Patterson( died young ) and Sally "Patterson" King . Trying to find a portrait or photograph of Colonel Robert Patterson who was Mayor of St Marys in 1880 ( his son James was too at some point ) Col. Robert patterson was also a Lawyer /Judge/Justice of the Peace and served two years as a State Senator starting in 1872 . All while living in Saint Marys West Virginia . His three wives were #1 Jane Wilson Patterson . Wife #2 Mrs Sarah Simpson , and a Mrs Clifford being the last . I have more than one birth date for this man and more than one death date . I can use all the help I can get .Thanks for your time .
