So, try this and see if you think it is right for Susannah (Godbey) Ellison. It shows she lived from: (1801-1888) Daughter of: Gabriel Godbey and Sarah Crouch. The wife of: Robert Ellison. She was the sister of: Annie Godbey and Timothy Carpenter Godbey, I. I might also, say that the name Ellison is also spelled Elyison, but you probaby already know that. Thought I would tell you this cause, I tryed to find other stuff for Robert Ellison, Robert Emmet Ellison, also tryed Rob and Bob but, found no additional stuff on him. So, I got to thinking and since, he lived between 1798 to Sep 05, 1859. I did not look under military much because, I don't have much luck with that. Decided he might have served in either the War of 1812 (1812-1815) or, the Mexican-American War (1846-1848) or, both. I did find 2- (two) brothers listed but, found nothing else on them either. I found 9- (nine) children listed for Robert and Susannah but, hesitate to list them here since, so, many of the Ellison's are listed as private. So, will try to send them to you through email. Other than Robert I did not look up the brother's or their children separately on Find A Grave.com or the other site I looked all this stuff up on. I will post to you where that was. So, you might want to try and look them up there. If, you look them up separately you may find more information on Robert as well. If, for some reason I fail at posting to you where I got this information and the other names. Let me know on my profile page and I will be sure to see you get it...
