When a GEDCOM file is uploaded, what happens to the fields on the file?

Obviously, the names and dates are mapped accordingly. My concern is in

Since WikiTree has so few database fields, as you note, everything else ends up in the body of the page, i.e. the biography section.

At first, they will look very mechanical. Our GEDCOM import system will give each section a headline and then print the value you had in there. Over time you'll want to edit these sections to be more readable.
