What about matches that don't have death dates?

Question

It seems like when I am adding new people that have a birth match, if the one in the system already does not have a death date and I enter one, those matches disappear.  It seems to me like no death date should match any death date.

When I entered mine, as I entered the death date, the other disappeared.

I think on the enter page the death date is looking for an exact match.
