I am looking for Michael Hayes from Ireland (b. 1826) and his son, Dennis (1854-55) born in the U.S.

Question

I would like to trace the ancesters of Michael Hayes who was born in Ireland around 1826.  I don't know where in Ireland he was from or any of his history before that. My grandfather, Dennis Hayes, born around 1854, was his son and Michael was married to a woman named Mary, who was also from Ireland. I don't know her maiden name.  I think that Michael and Mary moved to Wisconsin when they came to the U.S.

I am on Ancestry.com, but haven't been able to get any more information about the Hayes family in Ireland. I also want to know if Dennis Hayes was born in Wisconsin or Massachusetts.

Michael born 1826 with wife Mary born 1834 who had three children all born in Wisconsin: Michael (1853) Dennis (1855) and Cornelius (1857).

Unfortunate find 6 Michael Hayes or Hays born in Ireland,all in Cork,or Limerick,

if exactly 1826,If go 1825-1827 there are 89.Such is Ireland.

The 1860 census is from Fitchburg, Dane, WI - Fitchburg is also the name of a MA town?  Do you know the names of any of his siblings?  Some of these show a mother as Mary Galvin, and she may have died abt 1870.
