Who are the parents of Roger Daniell?

Roger Daniell was a 17th-century immigrant to Virginia.  Right now his WikiTree profile shows that he was born 10 Sept. 1581 at Trowbridge, Wiltshire, son of Roger Daniel and Joane George.  Is there any evidence to support this?

Another internet theory is that he was the son of Daniel Rogers, a Puritan cleric: see http://archiver.rootsweb.ancestry.com/th/read/DANIEL/2013-07/1374854836

If there is no hard evidence for his origin, then I would like to detach his parents and add a "disputed parents" paragraph to his profile.

This may provide some information.

Roger Daniel-2209 is shown as Roger Daniell's brother with the same parents. There may be two sets of Daniel and Daniell which have gotten entangled?
Oh dear.  The Roger who marries Anne Carey has a brother Roger whose son Roger also marries Anne Carey.  Somebody needs to disentangle the American end.

There is an entry in England Births & Christenings (1538-1975) for the christening of Roger Daniell, 10 September 1581,Trowbridge, Wiltshire the son of Roger Daniell. This entry is silent as to his mother

Likewise England Marriages ( 1538-1973) has an entry for the marriage of Roger Daniell to Joane George, 29 January 1570, St. James, Trowbridge, Wiltshire,

It is likely that Roger Daniell (Sr) was christened 25 November 1547, Trowbridge, Wiltshire. No refereance to parents.

At this point, it seems that the birth and parentage of the immigrant Roger Daniell is plausible but unproven.

Leaving that aside for the moment,  the WikiTree lineage currently shows that Roger's grandfather, Roger Daniel-350, was the son of Thomas Daniels-432 of Over Tabley and wife Margaret Wilbraham

However, a well-researched website doesn't show that Thomas had a son Roger: see http://www.deloriahurst.com/deloriahurst%20page/1184.html

In addition, the Royal, Titled, Noble Commoners website doesn't show a son Roger: see http://our-royal-titled-noble-and-commoner-ancestors.com/p1102.htm#i33108

Unless somebody has a source for the parentage, I will detach Roger Daniel-350 as the son of Thomas.
