Question

This orphan family is headed by a "Revolutionary Solider", is there anyone in the 1776 project needing a new cousin willing to adopt this North Caroina patriot?

Hi Andrea,

Thanks for the heads up on Isham.  I am not finding a source that points to his Rev. War service.  I check SAR, DAR and Fold3.  Do you have a source for his service?  If so, we can award him the 1776 badge for Veteran service.

This is part of that Bracewell/Carver family knot. How about this:

Isom Carver, Cumberland NC, "2/27/1776, a known Private under Capt. Arthur Council and Col. Thomas Rutherford."

I added Isom and his 1st cousins to the 1776 project and added the above sources to their profiles.  

Do not worry about Orphan profiles so much if they are connected to the family tree.

While thier profiles can always be improved, having them connecte and sourced is very helpful.  If you wish to adopt them to update their profiles, by all means do so, but you do not have to keep them and you can leave them without a Profile Manager when they are connected and sourced.
