But what disturbs me about this is that Ann D. (_____) Wright would have been 47 at the birth of George. Not impossible, but not likely.

Is it possible that George was son of their daughter, Lizzie, single and 39 and living with them in the 1900 census?
Jillaine,  Thanks. I had followed this line in my research and wondered about Lizzie myself.  Here is where I run into a problem - I know that my grandfather died in 1929 when my dad was a teenager. So I estimate that my grandfather was born around 1890. George F jr was born in 1886 so that doesn't seem to work.

Or I'm I totally missing your point on this?

Hi George,

Please consider transferring your AncestryDNA test to the huge FTDNA database.  I would appreciate it if you use my link (I will get a little checkmark for your transfer):  https://www.familytreedna.com/autosomalTransfer?atdna=MKi3UkrzFepY5nF6ODbsng%3d%3d  It is free to transfer your information and view your matches, but to open them costs $39 (or 5 checkmarks).  This is kind of na introductory promotion for you to join FTDNA.  Once you do this free transfer, you can join the GFR & WikiTree DNA Project through the following link with your new FTDNA kit number (B40000 or something similar) and password.  Please use this link to join our project:  https://www.familytreedna.com/group-join-request.aspx?group=WikiTree&vGroup=wikitree  This is all free unless you want to open your matches.

Once you have done that, you should consider taking a yDNA37 test for your Wright paternal line of ancestry and join the Wright DNA Project. It could help your research a lot. Please use this link if you wish to order any FTDNA tests such as the yDNA37. http://www.familytreedna.com/cj.aspx?ftdna_ref=600.  WikiTree will get a small $ credit for each kit purchased through this link.  WikiTree is free-to-use, but it is not free to operate, and these small financial credits from FTDNA help fund operations.

I know this isn't exactly what you asked, but there is a large Wright DNA Project and I hope you will get involved with their research.

Hi Kitty,

Thanks for the comment. I *think* that I already transferred my AncestryDNA test results and have joined the FTDNA site. I'm somewhat new to all of this so it's highly probable that I have messed something up. smiley
