John Solomon Stout   1821 TN

John was the son of Mary Ann Bettis and John Elison Stout. Soon after John's marriage to Nancy in KY., the couple removed to Montgomery Co., IA. where they operated a general store. Then around 1860 John sold the store, leaving his family penny-less and moved west, finally settling in Lexington, OK. Territory where he died.

I seriously doubt a connection between these two.  I found John Elison Stout and Mary Ann Bettis on Ancestry.com, but John Elison was born in 1811.  John Solomon Stout was born about 1820, so John Elison would have only been 9 years old at that time.

There is another John S. Stout,born 1821 Chatham County North Carolina

Died 1897 Lyon County,Kansas.Wife was Jane F . Stout. Not to say yours is

wrong ,just spied this.
