How to delete an entry that is already on the Wiki Tree?

I entered someone, then realized that they are already on Wiki Tree, how can I delete what I have entered and connect with the correct one that is already on Wiki?
Thanks!

It would not accept the id for the one I want to merge to.  It belongs to someone else, could that be why.

I entered Charles Francois Trepagny (Trepagny-21) and then relized that it is the same person as Charles Trepanier (Trepanier-59).  Do I need to request permission to merge?

Ok - I think I figured it out, thanks again!

You cannot delete but you can merge with the existing profile.

at the bottom of the profile there is a

Pending Merges Help

None.

[initiate a merge]

choose intiate a merge in the second box put the id of the matching profile and choose compare this will bring up side by side views if they match choose merge them from the top and it will bring up a box where you can state why you think they are a match and should be merged.

Easy! Propose a merge of the (new) duplicate profile into the correct one. Click on 'Initiate a Merge' at the bottom of the new profile.
