Im living in Mpumalanga, SouthAfrica. I do go to Pretoria from time to time visiting the National Archives and just love to take pictures of graves.

Please feel free to contact me. I will do my very best to try and help.

The main surnames I research is:

Coetsee / de Bruyn / Meyer / le Roux / Nortje.

You are just great Susanna!  Have fun!  Mags

Hi, Susanna! My grandmother, Gertrud Hilbert (https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Hilbert-457) was born in Durban, Natal in 1902 or 1903 from german-austro-hungarian parents. Two of her younger siblings, Natalie and Robin did as well. But I haven't been able to find any records, not of the births, or the travels - the family went back to Europe where a second sister was born in 1909, so my guess is that they lived there for only a few years, 1902-08 aprox. The stay there could have been related to business of her mother's family, the De Fins, at least one of them died in Keiskama Hoek in 1887.  Can you point me to where can I search for these data? Thank you in advance!

Hi Susanna,

Any idea how to get information regarding a parent who got lost after a divorce in South Africa?  I would love to gather some information regarding my husbands father. He last saw him in 1990, so I have no information to add to the family tree.

Hope you can assist

Hey know that some cousins lived in South Africa at least at some point in history. Probably would have had the name Lewis. If you run across anyone I guess let me know. They would not be in my direct ancestry most likely.
