The Baldiwn familiy tree shown on these pages basically relates to Buckinghamshire. My family has been traced back to 1628 in Linton Cambridgeshire. In 1628, Bartholomew Baldwin is known to have married Marey (Mercy/Mary) Cambrooke.

There does not appear to be any church records which preceed thiis period.

Bartholomew is thought to be borne 1602, and died about 1655

Any assistance greatly appreciated

England Marriages records the marriage of Bartholomewe  Baldwinne to Marey Cammbrooke on 25 November 1628 Linton Cambridge, while England Births & Christenings note a number of children born to the couple also Linto; Robert, Marye, Elizabeth, Grace, Mercy & Warren.

There is a listing for a Bartholomewe Baldwyn on 21November 1602, St. John, Hackney, London, the son of Anthonie Baldwyn.

Thank you for the very fast feedback. I had also uncovered this connection sometime earlier in my research.  I then came to a full stop with Anthonie, as I was not able to determine any earlier history along that line. Independently, I came across the line of Baldwins, including Bartholomew from Buckinghamshire. The distance to Linton is about 80 miles, so possible I thought.

I believe that Ron has now put that line of thinking to bed.

I will now be looking for earlier information related to Anthonie Baldwin, so will post a new request.
