Any difficulties showing incestuous relationship?

The queen Yrsa of Svitjod (Sweden) was the daughter of queen Alof of Saxony and king Helga (or Helgi) of Lejre (Denmark) but she did not know that he was her father. She was married to king Eadgils of Svitjod when Helga came to raid and pillage in Svitjod. He took her with him back to Denmark where they married and had the son Hrólfr (Rolf). Yrsa's mother came to Denmark and told Yrsa who her real father was. (See Eadgir's profile, I have not added this information to Yrsa as I am waiting for a merge to go through).er

Now my question is if it is possible to link these relationships here on WikiTree? I wanted to ask before I started to try to link them.

No problem.  There are loads of mother-marriers on WikiTree.
Thank you RJ!

The truth is the truth......if that is what happened, that is how it should be recorded, especially for someone alive 1500 years ago. For someone alive or in the recent past, we should be a bit more sensitive to protect the living from embarrassment.

I think that, in cases such as this one, the profile needs to be protected from someone seeing that a person's spouse and parent are the same, making an assumption that one of the connections is incorrect, and making changes to the profile.

No matter how clear an explanation of the situation is given in the bio, there will be someone who doesn't notice it.
But who does not read the bio of a profile like this? If you know nothing about the profile you really should not try to change anything. But I understand what you mean. A lot of people do not take the time...
