Who is Alexander McDougall

Question

Hi, after many years of having a gutt feeling that something was missing from my childhood I have recently found out that who I thought was my father isn't. My birth father was Alexander McDougall born circa 1945-1949 in Fort William. I know he travelled from his home town to Leeds then London in 1968 (the year before I was born), other than that I have no other information. My mum will give me no further information and I am desperate to find out any further information. Please help. Dawn

Hi,   The site you want for Scottish birth info is http://www.scotlandspeople.gov.uk

You'll not be able to view complete birth records online for 1945-1949 only the index version.   I suspect there will be a few entries for Alexander McDougall in that time frame but not too many from Fort William
