The Gardners in Lancaster

Hi all,

 

I'm trying to find the history of my family tree, So far I have got as far as my great great grandmother.

My mum was brought up knowing William Heron was her father. Alice Gardner (Wilson) was his mother and Dinah Wearing was her mother. Does anybody know anything about the wearings??

If you look at Wearing-34 profile, it shows Dinah Wearing born 1875 in Lancaster, Lancashire, England.

She is daughter of William Wearing and Mary Ann Wearing (Baker).

Dinah has three sisters, Alice, Mary b 1887 and Mary b 1890. Her brother is Joseph.

Dinah married Robert Gardner in 1896 in Lancaster. Dinah later married Alexander Owen in 1929 and had six children.

Dinah's father, William Wearing was born 1852 in Skerton, Lancashire. William's father is unknown and his mother is Dinah Penswick. Wm died 1929 Lancaster.
