Searching for the parents of Jane McKay married in Portgower 1828

I have searched many years without success to find the parents of jane McKay who married John Melville in Portgower , Sutherland, Scotland.

For what it's worth, I have Sutherland ancestors born in upstate NY that are supposed to have ancestors that go back to Sutherland Shire. Joseph Sutherland was born in 1770 in Columbia, County, NY. Have not been successful in tracing his line back to Sutherland Shire at this time.

I have a lot more on the Melvilles especially Isabella, of course ,, and there is a complicated history on Hugh and his adventures in Australia. .. I still belong to the Sutherland group but have not been as immersed in family hoistory for a while but a cousin joined Wikitree and wanted me to help with our Dixon family. I must let her know that I struck gold with Jane's parents and siblings. :-)
