Introducing myself

Hello everyone, just thought I'd drop in and say howdy and looking forward to learning about my genealogy and helping to fulfill my ancestrial trees!! I am looking for surnames of Burns, Bowman, Mahin and Hamilton, all from Ohio, Kentucky, Indiana and Tennessee as far as I know now!

Welcome to WikiTree! I'm a descendant of the Burns Family myself, from Pennsylvania and Ohio.  We shall see if our trees ever cross; I hope they do.  Good luck in your research and in discovering your family roots.

Thank you!  I hope they do too.. I am hoping to make a trip back to Ohio soon as to speak with some relatives and get more information about my extended family to add to the tree.  I am in contact with several cousins that are in Ohio and we are working on getting as much information together concerning the Burns and Hamilton families.  The Bowman and Mahin family that I am looking for are my maternal side and I will be adding what I can to that part of my tree soon as well!

I'm sure you will enjoy your search - at least here's hoping you do!  I've been on wikitree 5 months now and I really enjoy it - - you'll find the people here to be fantastic and so eager to be helpful + knowledgeable!  Be sure to spend some time looking over the helpful instructions - and do some practicing, using the style guide.  Oh, and remember that we LOVE sources!  :-)
