How to do a family biography

Question

One of my areas of research involves a couple who moved, with most of their children, from Canada to Oswego, NY. The link to where they came from in Canada may go through the two husbands of one of the daughters, and that story also links to at least one of the sons. So, I would like to write just one biography section that I can link to from each of the profiles. The appropriate technique seems to be a Free Space; does anyone have a better approach?

I haven't done it but I've been thinking about that same circumstance.  I was wondering if a continual story could go from profile to profile.  As the story progressed you might could begin a profile biography ...continued from Wikitree-???.... and at the end put next part on Wikitree-???  Normally a family history would seem to go from parent to child but that relationship might not be as good of a read as say an uncle or another relative where the story more fits that biography.  But also your Free Space page doesn't sound like a bad idea either.

I agree that the free space might be a good way to do what you want.

If the text that you want to use for multiple profiles is only say a paragraph or two, you could just copy paste the same text from one profile to another, maybe changing a few words to focus on the person involved. I've used that method on multiple occasions, but I wouldn't want to use it for anything long.

Here's an example of a Free space linked to multiple profiles, because the explosion caused the deaths of multiple people.
