Can I just change an incorrect name in her profile or do I need to do something else?

Johnson-35752 was originally named Emma as entered into Missouri Birth records. Born 24 Oct. 1884, the first baby of Sarah and William Johnson. But an old Rootsweb post lists her as Dora Elizabeth, buried at Fairview cem. , Puxico, Missouri, d. 8 Dec. 1899. So her paternal grandmother died March 1885-what I think happened is that they just changed her name to that of her grandma, Elizabeth.

Yes, Change the proper first name to the one on the birth certificate. If they called her Dora Elizabeth, you can put that in the prefered name, or put it into the other nicknames, so that people searching for Dora will find her.

Explain it in the bio, which you seem to have done.
