I am searching for a Mr. and Mrs. Watkins. They were born abt. 1830 in Alabama. They had 4 children that I am aware of. They are John, Wiley or Wally or ?, They had another child that I don't have any info. but died in her/ his mothers arms when carpet baggers came in while the other children were in hiding and watched as their mother and sibling were killed. The father died at the beginning of the Civil War. The mother and child were killed during the Civil War too. The last child to list is my g.g. grandmother. Her name is Mary Elizabeth Watkins. Her nick name being Lizzie. She was born in Nov 1861 Texas. The children were all placed in an orphanage when their mother died. The mother was supposedly Cherokee and the father may have been too. Please help. I have been searching for her family for years.
