I am seeking information prior to 1852 in relation to my Great Great Grandparents David JONES b. 20 July (unknown year between 1824 and 1828) in Cardigan, Wales and Mary DAVIES b. 28 March 1832 in Carmarthen, Wales and married on 21 May 1852 in Tredegar, Monmouthshire, Wales. Their firstborn son, John JONES (my Great Grandfather) b. 4 March 1853 in Ebbw Vale, Monmouth and three further siblings Mary Ann JONES b. 2 April 1856, Elizabeth JONES b. 21 September 1858 and Thomas JONES b. 21 December 1860. The family migrated to Australia on the ship "Persia" on 16 August 1861. I have reliable records after 1852 but I am unable to discover accurate information about David JONES, Mary DAVIES or their ancestors prior to this time.
