Thomas C Brimm is my father's second cousin and a direct Brim/Brimm decendant.  My son Joe Marzullo and Thomas C Brimm are listed on my website.  How do I get Thomas's Y chromosome to show up on my line.  All blood test are being managed by myself.? I paid for Thomas to be tested (he does not have a computer) thru 23and Me and my son through Ancestry.

Hello Claudia,

Y-DNA is not associated unless the tester's privacy level is at least "Private with Public Family Tree."  Then within 24 hours his Y-DNA information will be associated with his direct paternal line.  It will not show up on any female profiles.

Sincerely,

Hi Claudia. Peter is correct, your son's and cousin's yDNA connections won't display until you have changed their privacy levels to Private with Public Family Tree. But I think there's another issue. In your question you said that the DNA tests the two men have taken were at 23andMe and Ancestry. Those aren't yDNA tests--they're autosomal DNA tests. If you want yDNA information for them you'll need to have them each take a yDNA test from Family Tree DNA. I would recommend they take a 37-marker yDNA test.

Saving my pennies to have my cousin Tom take the test for this site.  Thank you everyone, that was nice of you to take time to read and answer my question.
