Short of being a Jones, a Smith or perhaps a Brown, we Cooks have the short end of the stick when it comes to genealogical research.
Today I seek information about Cook-12362 who is known to my family as Pascal. (We've named children after him as befits our tradition of using family names.)
The problem? I can trace a reference to a "Paschel Cook" and a biographical reference to a "Paschal Cook" who probably lived in the right time and space to be married to the well-documented "Nancy Lewis Thornton Cook" for whom my grandfather, Lewis Thornton Cook was named. Pascal (for that is what we will probably always call him) was the father of the amazing newspaper man, George Addison Cook. Had great-grandfather George written a bit more about his father or at least mentioned Pascal's middle name, we would have one more clamp to climb the Wikitree. George did not.
I leave it to you, dear fellow Tree climbers. Any info out there about Cook-12362?
Cooks everywhere will love you- and probably invite you to dinner.
