I honestly haven't got a clue.  I don't believe I've ever  heard of the name but I was only 2 when they passed away. Most of my family comes from West Virginia and Virginia area I was told Adam was the only one of the 8 children of Jacob Gum and Dorothy (Arobgast) who remained in Virginia.  All the others migrated to New land in Ohio, Indiana and Missouri. so far Im only aware of the ones in west Virginia and Virginia
I am related to Roscoe Jackson Smith.

Ollie Raymond Gallaway's brother, Ben Elwin Gallaway 1914-1979 is my Grandfather.  I would be very interested in any additional information regarding either Roscoe Jackson Smith, or his brother Walter.  I am currently working on a project to prove that Easter Catherine Greer's father is George Washington Greer.   I have done quite a bit of research on this family and this is the first I have heard of Jackson's brother Walter!  Where were they killed?  Was this an older or younger brother.  Any information would be incredibly helpful!

I have not tracked my Smith line.  I know I'm related to Walt Smith from Rhode Island.

There is a website online with a huge amount of information on the Smith people.

My husband is a direct descendent of Jackson Smith (unsure on the 1st name Roscoe) (11/22/1825-7/6/1896). He is buried in Coryell County in the Smith Cemetery where we live. I work in the Records Department of the Coryell County Clerk's office. Easter Catharine Greer (8/5/1830-3/24/1909) (Grear<<that is how her name is signed on her son's death certificate), Easter's death certificate is filed in the Death Records in this county. I have not found anything about their children besides Walter Alexander Smith Sr. who was Jackson and Easter's son. I am not sure if he also had a brother but on Walter's death certificate Jackson and Easter are listed as his parents. From my research through County Records and online, Walter had 10 children, I have full names and birth/death years of all of them. One is Walter Jr. who is our direct ancestor. I see your WikiTree profile says Cynthia Smith, Walter Sr was married to her. I have the name Cynthia Eva Risinger Smith and Walter Jr as a son of hers. I am trying to learn more about Jackson & Easter to move up in the tree with them. The birth & date records you listed match perfect but I have 2 children for Jackson: Martha Letha Smith Eplin and Berry Jackson Smith.
