Hi: First of all, if we are talking about Jeremiah Clements of James City County, Virginia 1607-1657. He only had maybe one heir and that would be a daughter, named Elizabeth, who married Henry Perry. It would be great if someone could prove that Jeremiah had other Children with estate papers or land deeds or some other type of document, but because of earlier records being destroyed we are limited to what pieces we have left. And earlier books about these families, have made mistakes in joining some of the earlier Virginia Clements together on just a few pieces, such as John Clements of Surry Co., Francis Clements of Isle of Wight and Benjamin Clements of Gloucester Co., VA. YDNA is now proving that these Early Clements are not even related. Although is showing that Francis Clements of Isle of Wight and Benjamin Clements of Gloucester were Cousins. As for Mary, there are NO documents that prove she was Jeremiah’s daughter. We need to stick with what real documents we have and Not speculate what’s not there. Especially, when YDNA is working to seperate the different male Clements’. There have been many Clements who have stepped forward to be tested, helping us all to get a better understanding of how the Clements all belong. I am really thankful for those who have taken that test, because it has really made a difference when there is NOT a good Paper Trail. Hopefully, in the future there will be a better DNA test that will help in proving our Women descendants in our families too. So, here is those Websites for the Clements YDNA results. Jeremiah does not have a number yet because it is believed by the researchers there at FTDNA that he had NO Male Heirs. And as for Mary, it is believed that Jeremiah only had one daughter as I mentioned above named Elizabeth. None of Jeremiah's properties went to anyone else. Here is the connection to Clements YDNA results at FTDNA. Sincerely, Cathi (Clements) Gross, Website: https://www.familytreedna.com/groups/clements-clemmons-dna/about/background
