I am trying to find information on my gg grandfather, William Marks b: April 17, 1832. The only thing we know for sure is he was in Oregon circa 1860’s where he met and married my gg grandmother.  At that time he was with a brother named Richard.  Census records say his mother was born in Ohio, father in Indiana, Illinois or Ohio (conflicting records) although family believes he was possibly born in Wayne, Indiana.  Could he possibly be related to Melinda Marks?  If you have any records on this family please contact me.  Thank you.

Sorry to be so long answering.  My third (I think it's 3), grandfather was Timothy Marks. Born in Ky 2/2/1806 or 7.

He died in Indiana 3/26/1888.  He had several children.  In wikitree he is Marks-2214.  He is also, along with many of his children in Familysearch.org as MMSW-22S.

I do know some of the family went west, but I'm not sure which ones, one of the daughters married a Lemons and they went to Ca.
