looking for the parents of Dora Paugh she was born about 1903 in Lewis County WV and died in Lewis County WV in 1974.

Question

Dora's middle name I believe was Paugh she was married to a Thomas Francis Smith Thomas and Dora were my mothers parents her name was Anna Virginia Smith I'm unable to find much on her except for her death and marriage license.  I know that Dora Married again after Thomas she married a Edgar Lee May on January 24, 1936 in Lewis County WV.  I found Dora buried in the Woofter Cemetery in Lewis County WV.  according to the Social security death index she was born March 4,1903 and died n April 1974.  In the 1940 census My mother and Thomas Smith are listed living with them and listed as stepdaughter and stepson.   I found Dora paugh listed as a niece in the 1920 censes with a william H Paugh and a Mary Paugh can anyone help me with these names????

I think I see the 1920 census you referenced, and possibly she is on the 1910 census on the same page.

Has Grandaughter staying with her,Dora Paugh and sister Florida.This does not match death date youhave on Dora.I have seen a few mistakes made on death records.D.M. Paugh could be Dora Mae Paugh.born June 18 1901.Father John Paugh,mother May Paugh.1940 cernsus,

Dora May,Thomas Smith,Ann Virginia Smith ,and Ann Virginia Smth.

Dora May,may be Dora Mae  Paugh.
