Dale,
Trade off is great , just like the ''ancient'' times, it's coming back I guess, in our town we have internet pages with people offering and asking for help with chores/jobs, in trade for the help you get , you'll help the other person with some other chore . So people who love gardening but hate painting in turn for a painting job done by a painter, will do the painters garden, and so on. It's a great thing and all for free :)
Betty,
You're welcome ;) I love painting as well and indeed the prep thing is not my thing either, my mum has a large house and a lot of stuff, so the prep is quite an ''horrific'' event :P, the ceilings now are white, the walls grey, (light and dark with some wallpaper in between) my husband is a painter , so he does most of the painting, we just today finished her kitchen area and tomorrow we will try and get the living room done as well.
That purple paint sounds great, so if I understand it correct while you're painting all painted parts are purple and when it's dry it's white ? Cooool and very handy !
Sounds like my husband, he loves working with wood as well, before he became a painter he was a carpenter, now working with wood is one of his many hobbies.
Guess the wood turning club will be very happy with the home made fishing bobbers for the raffle and indeed a few months and it's Christmas already, we first have Sinterklaas in Holland at 5 december :)
I saw it at the news, and watching the news nowadays is really saddening, all these refugees coming form Syria, Africa and many other countries arriving in Europe...so many terrible, horrible and sad things nowadays eeh...history is repeating over and over again I guess...so we really should pray for all these people ...we are so fortunate living in countries where there's no hunger and peace
