Mentors Tips - How to get your Surname Navigation page?

This is like following a treasure map and the treasure at the end? Just fascinating!
Go to: Family Tree & Genealogy Tools > Genealogy Research > DNA Ancestors > Surnames (Surname Navigation Page) this page lists all of you surnames with these options:

Gaulden (my Gaulden example)

  • Search for Gauldens with this first name:

OR you could just type this in your browser bar:
http://www.wikitree.com/treewidget/YourWikiTeeID#/11
to get to your Surname Navigations page.
Be sure to pack a lunch and a beverage because you will be down this rabbit hole for hours and hours!
Have fun!

Thanks, Sandy

Excellent but we Swedish people our dear ancestors used the concept of patronym ==> the son will have fathers christian name plus son

Anders ==> Andersson
Peter ==> Petersson
Olof ==> Olofsson

I dont understand why they did so. Didnt they think about of all the problems we would have in 2015 doing DNA geneology ;-)

Great tip, Mags. I love how you do these.

I think you left out this method:

Go to "My WikiTree" on the pull-down menu and select "Surnames."

So true Chris, but with it being so easy where is the fun in following a treasure map? Ok, ok, I left out the obvious and will gladly walk the plank. Arrrgh!
