Any info on Holmes Family of Loris,South Carolina

Question

Looking for info before 1790 census. Looks like my Holmeses came down to what is now Horry County, town of Loris, before 1790 with a group of Scottish Families from the Cape Fear,NC area. I think I am related to a John Holmes ( I know, very common name). Later descendants are Daniel B. Holmes and Murray Cheatham Holmes. Also in the mix are Jones, Holt and Alford, near Loris, not far from Myrtle Beach area, near what is now the NC/SC border.

My name is Johnnie Holmes. My great great grandfather was B. Holmes born 1809. He married Margaret ann Holmes. He had 3 sons and 1 daughter by Margaret. I think Margaret died in the 1860's and he remarried to Jane Hardee. They had several children including Daniel B Holmes Jr. I can't find anything out about Daniel B Holmes sr father and mother. I am from loris.
