Anna Cohen was Jewish and lived in Georgetown, South Carolina between 1760 and 1788. I do not know her birthdate or her place of birth. I do know that she married James Mitchell from Charleston, South Carolina sometime before 1788 and that the marital ceremony may have occurred at the Temple in Charleston as there was not a Temple in Georgetown between 1760 and 1788. Their daughter was Elizabeth Mitchell.

Any assistance would be appreciated.

Did Elizabeth marry a Holloway? Do you have a birth year and location for James and or Elizabeth? Is there a death year for Anna, James and or Elizabeth as well as a location?
1. Elizabeth Mitchell married Richard Holloway, Sr.

2. I do not have a birth year or birth location. I can say that James lived for most of his life in Charleston, SC. I presume the same was true for Elizabeth but my presumption is an assumption.

3. I do not have a death year for Anna, James or Elizabeth. My presumption is James died in Charleston, SC due to business and social ties.
I have not found the answer you seek at familysearch.org . If more timeframe information becomes availble, the probability of pinpointing an appropriate answer would increase.
Thanks for your effort. I will probably contact the Jewish Historical Society in Georgetown, SC for the answer. The community was very small (less then 80 people) during this time frame. I'm sure the records are there for Cohen family members.
