Seeking info on Captain John Stephenson b. 1715 Ireland, son William b. 1733 d. 1798 Brown Co., Ohio?

Cpt.John Stephenson was a sea captain that ran journeys between Ireland and east coast US. Possibly settled in Sussex Co., Delaware where son William ran away to avoid sea journey with father and settled in York, PA where he enlisted in the Revolution.  Married Elizabeth Emily T. Mills in 1768.

I believe Captain John Stephenson is a member of my family.  We have traced his some William b.1733 d. 1798.  We get stopped at 1733.  You seem to know more than we have found out about Captain John.  He is my 4th or 5th great grandfather.  Any further information you have would be greatly appreciated.  Will look forward to you emailing me and my sister.  We had just about given up.
