Thank you Bill, you are very welcome.  This is my favorite photograph of my parents.  Dad was a US Marine stationed in Florida at the time and they were married just three months before the infamous attack on Pearl Harbor. Dad was then sent first to Cuba and then on to the Pacific Theater for the next three years. I can see all the hopes and dreams of a young couple going out to face the world together at a very turbulent time in history.

Hello Jerry...thank you for your email and you are very welcome. Dad was a US Marine stationed in Florida at that time and Mom was working as a nanny taking care of two children. She traveled from Minnesota with her employer's family when his company gave him a promotion.  Dad was only 20 years old at the time and had to have permission to marry via a telegram from his father. They were married exactly three months before the infamous Pearl Harbor attack on 7 Dec 1941.

Hello Jerry...I thank you very much for your exquisite words on my parent's wedding photograph on 1 September 1941, just a mere three months before the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor in Hawaii.  My father was then first shipped out to Cuba and then on to the Solomon Islands where he fought in several major battles. Again, thank you.

Charlotte...I thank you for your kind comments about my Mother and Father's wedding photograph. My Mother (working as a Nanny) was from Minnesota and Dad (serving as a US marine) was from Indiana and met after a chance meeting and introduction by Dad's best friend at a small cabana on the beach. They only knew each other a few short months before marriage and were married for 63 years.

Susan...I thank you very much for your very nice comment on my parent's wedding photograph. They did make a beautiful couple, Dad looked dashing in uniform with his blond hair and baby-blue eyes, and Mom looked just like Bess Myerson the 1945 Miss America.
