Il etait   Bernard Kemp . Il est ne  Peckham, Surrey vers 1882.

Lieu de naissance : Camberwell (actually born Peckham which is part of Camberwell)

Residence: Canonbury (which is in Islington)

Date de la Mort: 31 Mar 1918

Lieu de la mort:France and Flanders

Lieu de l'enrolement :Hampstead

Rank:Private

Regiment: London Regiment Battalion:11th Battalion Regimental Number:708 British and Irish Military Databases. The Naval and Military Press Ltd  viewed on Ancestry UK

Pardon mais Je continue en Anglais!

He appears on the 1911 census(recensement)  living in  with brother Alfred aged 32 and  Annie Alfred's wife.

.Bernard, 29  was working as a Portmanteau maker.

In 1901 census he was with his mother Alice in Islington. Bernard was working as a postman.  Alice was born in Brandon, Suffolk in about 1845, Alice  was a widow and working as a licensed victualler in a public house   His brother Alfred was there as was (quite importantly) Alice's sister Eliza Wilkinson aged 52,

In 1891, Bernard was living with both parents at Essex Road Islington. His father, William M(or N) Kent  was a beer seller and was born in Kent.  He had two brothers with him at this time. Thomas born in about 1871 in Redhill, Surrey and Alfred born in Bermonsey.

In 1871 William and Alice were living with young son Thomas  in Redhill, Surrey. William was born in Chatham Kent . At this time he was working as a carpenter.

There is a marriage for a William M Kemp and an Alice Capp in Redhill between April and July 1869.

There is a baptism of a William M Kemp in 'Chartham' Kent   on 14th June 1846, he was the son of John James Kemp and Ann.

I could not find an Alice Capp born in Brandon for the right time. There was though a family of Capps living there.

I did however find in the 1851 census.

Alice Wilkinson aged 25 head  with Alice Wikinson aged 7, Charlotte aged 4, Eliza aged 2  living together with Catherine Capp sister.

( was Alice Wilkinson aged 7 actually Alice Capp? ie born before any marriage to a Wilkinson. Her sister Eliza Wilkinson is with her in the 1901 census)

Sorry but I haven't put in all the references as was rushed to put it all down. They are all on Ancestry UK. The baptism of William M Kemp should also be on Family search.
