Looking for father of William Jasper Johnson (1827-1902)

Question

I believe it's a John Jasper Johnson (bases on an obituary @ find a grave memorial #40559095 (states John Jasper Johnson & Mary Morton) All I find are too young to be accurate.

Methinks I know the rub. His grave marker shows he died at seventy-four years of age in 1902. That would make his birth year 1838 not 1827. John Jasper born 1822 would have been sixteen at the time of William Jasper's birth. Mary Ann Johnson is clearly not his mother if she was born in 1836. Perhaps John Jasper remarried?

In my file I have a great-great uncle by marriage named William Jasper Johnson, born 1834 Tennessee.   He died in 1865. He was married to Amanda Johnson born 1841 in KY.  They had a son William J. born 1862.  Amanda was daughter of Abner Johnson born in 1798 in NC.  Abner eventually came to Kaufman County, Texas.

I found an Abner Johnson (find a grave # 36922173) who is buried in Fannin County (right around the corner) He was born 1792 -1883.

Or an Abner Basil Johnson in Kauffman County (find a grave #83611373) with an Amanda  K (Johnson) McDonald (1836-1878) listed as his daughter.

These may not be  the same Johnsons, although the names are similar.  I have Abner B. Johnson (1836-1900) married to Margaret M. Love. His father was Abner Johnson  (b. 1798 NC) married to Nancy Hoar/Harr.  Abner (1798)  had a brother named William (b  1808 NC) who had a son named William Jasper (b.  1830? MS).  He served in the Confederate army in East Texas.  I also have Amanda Johnson sister of Abner B, married to a Wm. Jasper Johnson #1 and then  John McDonald #2.

If he died in 1902 at 74 yrs wouldn't that make it 1828 (which could be actually 1827)?

I'm related to William Jasper Johnson (1827 Georgia - 1902 Texas) married to Adeline Amanda Leatherman (1830 Louisiana - 1925 Texas). I'll be happy to let you know if I come across any information on an Abner Johnson from North Carolina.

I have a note on (Find a grave memorial # 40559095) (William Jasper Johnson) that states his father was John Jasper Johnson married to Mary Morton, but don't know if it is creditable because I can't find anything to back it up.
