to whom it may concern.

I am searching for information on my paternal grandfather - a James Alexander Edwards - born June 27th 1894 - attended the George Watson College in Edinburgh,Scotland. His WW1 Record indicates that he was with the 1/9th as a Pte. France 1915-1919.

He was the younger son of a Mr. Robert E. Edwards - who at the time was the headmaster of the college.

From what I have learnt is that my paternal grandfather James Alexander Edwards was a member of the Officer Training Corp at the time.

Any further info that can be shed on him would be so gratefully appreciated. I had a detailed file on him - but have mislaid it in my house move of 12 hours ago.

In the past I've written and asked for copies of records re my grandfather.  Have you tried this?  Be warned though it could take about six months.

Is James a Dark Skinned Man? Did he live in connecticut? Did he become a sailor the lead Utility worker on the Queen of Bermuda from about 1925 onward?
