Who was Lena F. (possabily Magdalena) that came to the US from Germany abt. 1889

Question

I am looking for information on Lena F. UNKNOWN possibility Magdalina b. abt. 1875 in Wurtemberg, Germany that came to the US from Germany and married Andrew Bowers in Nebraska abt. 1890. They lived in Neligh for a time.  All I know about her is that her father was a ship captain in Germany and died.  Eight years after his death when Lena was 16, Lena, her Mother and two younger brother aged 14 and 12 came to the US.  Lena married ( a somewhat older gentleman)Andrew Bowers in Nebraska.  Andrew and Lena lived in Neligh, NE. and then migrated to Oregon with their Seven daughters.  Who was Lena and her parents and siblings?

I have all of these but thank you for your help and time.  I just cannot find who she was before she married my GG Grandfather.

Her name might also be Helen. I have a 3rd or 4th ggrandmother who was also known as Lena and found it was Helen on a census form. Magdalina was usually shortened to Magda.

My middle name is also Lena and I did not know it could also be Helen.  Thank you for your time and assistance.

....most girl names can be ....Lena as most boy names can be ....ino (or a similar variation), much like the ...ie or y on the ends of children's names in English like Tommie and Johnny.
