Who is the Father of J.T. Hamilton?

Question

I'm trying to trace my family heritage back to Sir Walter Fitz-Gilbert de Hameldone of Cadzow, so far I've gotten back to the 1800s.

My great grandfather is named Herbert William Hamilton; he was born on or around July 11th, 1908 in or around Portland, Oregon.

Herbert William Hamilton's father was named Ernest Hamilton, whom was married Doloras A Hamilton; Maiden Name likely "Mcnamara". Ernest Hamilton was born in Canada/Canada Ireland. I'm not sure when he was born exactly.

Ernest Hamilton's father's name was "J.T. Hamilton", but I haven't been able to find squat on him. I have a strong feeling though that once I find out who J.T. Hamilton's father was, that I will have gone far enough back in time to make the connection to the prime progenitor of the House of Hamilton; just have to get past all the "private profiles" on Geni.

Haha; funny coincidence: I'm also a J.T. Hamilton; John Tyler Hamilton. I have no idea if that's what HIS first two initials stand for though; kinda doubt it.

From census data of Ernest and Dolores, consistently indicate his birth in Canada, as does the marriage cert.  See second cert- did Ernest  have a brother William James - seems to be son of James Thomas Hamilton and Harriet Lenora Keyes?
