What are the most beautiful and useful profiles?

Brand new, and as I learn how to use the site I want to learn both the most useful and attractive ways to create profiles, list sources etc. I find examples are better than instructions for me to learn by, and would like to know which profiles you found most accessible, verifiable, workable, or just plain pretty. My interest is in creating simple but well documented and attractive profiles for my (our) peoples. Thanks for your help!

I just uploaded a couple of grandparents to start, and am currently working on my great grandmother, but I wanted to view some examples of outstanding profiles before I got too far. Now that I know a bit about how the site works, I'm looking for inspiration and direction. I looked at Profiles of the Week but that's not really what I'm aiming at. I'm too new to know what's "good" or not. Thanks again for your help!

I personally get confused when I've read some profiles - they seemed to be more a mass of numbers.

Went for a simple option - clear/precise.

Great profile Michelle. As to beautiful, I've been adding backgrounds from [http://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Space:Simple_Backgrounds this page], created by Debby Black.  Also, images or a map of the area/time that isn't copyright restricted, adds an interesting touch to the Biography
Nice. That's what I was thinking and I like the timelines. Is it appropriate to place research notes in the biography section or should that go down below with resources? In my family's case, there are several people for each that have identical names and very close birth and event dates. I would like to put a section on each profile outlining how I determined who was who and eliminated non-relatives with similar names. Maybe save someone else the trouble. Especially with this one tree business.
@ Patricia ooo they are nice - the backgrounds.

@ Michelle - yes I know the feeling - re similar names, ages, dates of birth.  Where I've had these in the family I have pointed out the reason why...

With profiles I tried to keep to:

http://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Category:Styles_and_Standards
I didn't know there were backgrounds. Neat!

I will read through the style guide, thank you Trish. That will be a big help. There is SO MUCH TO LEARN HERE. An amazing thing! I just want to make sure my profiles are accessible and easy to use for other researches. The sources section on my grandparents that I uploaded are SO BUSY. I think I will be enter everyone by hand from now on. Need to find or make a template.

Now, if I could just stop reading about all these projects..... THIS SITE IS TOO INTERESTING.

Awesome! Yay! When first starting it seems a little hard to figure out what to focus on. These suggestions are so helpful!
I am glad & grateful to help, as are many others here in WT.
Hi Michelle and Welcome to Wiki, I too struggling to work out Wiki sometimes, but what ive learned is..............to keep going on G2G, there are some very clever people on this site and they have taught me so much. Also Mentors and all the other Guides theyre brilliant too. If you put a question on G2G, theres  always someone to help. Its a great site, just takes time too learn I suppose like everything else. Youre Profile looks good already, so I learnt from that and the links that other people put on.

Thanks, Susan! I find I need a mentor already... I was doing so well, too, and now I'm mystified. Thank you for the suggestion.

For Examples of attractive well written profiles, try the Collaborative Profile of the Week Category. This one of Laura Bond is my favorite.

That Laura Bond profile is lovely!!!!!

Agree Laura Bond is great but I miss that we don't make it easy with some coordinates to places to visit as the grave.

Compare Beechwood_Cemetery that have coordinates 45.447,-75.66
