Looking for parents of William Milne, 1800, Scotland.

Question

William Milne married Grace Cowan (1801-1890) in 1838 in Hemmingford, Quebec. Grace  came from Scotland with her brothers John, Robert, Daniel and sister Margaret. Their son David Milne was born in Covey Hill, Quebec in 1843. Haven't been able to find a record of William Milne in USA.

In an 1842 census I found a William Milne and a George Milne as two head of households. A George Milne was with the group who left the Covey Hill, Quebec area. The settled in Buchanan, Iowa from about 1855 to1865. Then to Harvey, Kansas. Members in this group were Robert Cowan, Daniel Cowan, John Cowan,Nancy Robb, Grace Cowan, and David Milne.

It seems these two may be brothers but I havent found a connection yet between William Milne1800, Scotland and George Milne 1801, Scotland.

Grace Cowan was born in 1801 died in 1890 Knox County, Nabraska USA

The had a son David Milne

They were Married in 1838 Qubec Canada

1842 census states he was living in Beuharnois, Quebec Canada
