Joseph Farquhar Duncan

Question

Born about 1827, Aberdeenshire, Scotland, Civil Parish - Turiff and listed in the 1841 census living with his father, Thomas, on Old Street.  Any information on Joseph's parents or others would be appreciated.

Thanks Wayne. I had posted this earlier but did it incorrectly.

Joseph was married twice. Once to Ann R., she died, then within ten years he married Jane Carney.
 I don't belong to Scotland's People so can't view the document.

 I also want to say thank you for the help on Jane Carney and her marriage to Joseph.

If you come across Ann R's name and her marriage to Joseph, it would be greatly appreciated.

I am using the internet to search but it comes up with nothing. I was hoping to find a free family tree posted with names but no such luck.  Living on a pension does not allow me much latitude for paying for information from places like Scotland's People.

With your assistance I now have more info for my wife and her siblings.

Thomas Duncan marries Jane Farquhar June 6 1830, Abertdeen City

Aberdeenshure.This is where his Farquhar middle name comes from.

Thank you Wayne.  I have all the census information from 1841 to 1901 on Joseph.  Do you by chance have any idea what the last names of both his wives were?  He married an Ann R. and had two children then she died between 1871-1881. By the 1891 census he married a Jane and had three more children.  Their last child Alex C, in the 1901 census, was my wife's grandfather. His wife was killed in the bombing of London. I am trying to find any info on the family line as they had nothing here in Canada.

I have tried to find any family tree info for them but nothing is available.

There are 4 marriages too a Jane on Scotlands People,i looked at original

marriage record and none are the right Joseph Duncan.

On 1891 census,Joseph 62 , Jane 36 .26 years younger.

on Scotlands People,you can order a copy.

Jan 28 1891, married after publication,Church of England,signed Joseph F. Duncan.

Duncan,cab driver.He 61 she 37,She from Clayhills,her father John

mother Isabella Couts.So she was with him before they married.First

time i have ever seen this.I was always looking for marriages before 1891.

I have looked at other trees,you may be only one that has this.

later Immigrated too USA,died in Illinois.
