I can't find a German place name even close to this. Do you have a document or resource that mentions it?

Almost everything I find listing "Lipsterland" is in Dutch, certainly no German sources using this name. The closest I could come to is Land Lippe, Imperial county from 1528 to 1789, then a Principality until 1919. It would help to have some names of towns or villages.

In the Netherlands the "Fürstentum Lippe" was named in Dutch as 'Lipsterland', a region from where many people left for the Netherlands.

It is the region surrounding Detmold in Germany.
