Does anyone have sources for the parentage of Ann Hansford Tutt ? She has many DNA relatives but not one source.

There is a portrait supposedly of her as well which I can not seem to locate the source on.

Her parentage in this profile does not agree with various public trees.

Historical Southern Families. Vol. X page 29, she was the daughter of William Hansford and Sarah Sallis. Her mother remarried a second time to Alexander Doniphan, Jr. who d. about 1725.

This is a confusing line that seems to have many public trees that are not consistent.

Thanks, Jamie.
Ann Hansford Tutt was my 5th GGrandmother. Her parents were Stephen Tutt & Elizabeth Mott Doniphan. Ann married James Tutt in 1737. Their Son, Lewis B Tutt, and Isabella Yancy Tutt parented George Garland Tutt, my 3rd G Grandfather.

The afore mentioned Betty has been a great help to me,

Maggie, I don't know anything about the family, but a quick search on ancestry shows many trees with the portrait that's on her profile.  One of them notes:  "Photo of original portrait miniature owned by Mrs. Betty Gaeng."

You could use this site on ancestry as a source for what's on the profile:  http://person.ancestry.com/tree/24816674/person/13786441009/facts

This site: http://www.nchgs.org/html/hansford_family.html mentions William Hansford's will (dated 7 June 1750) in which he names daughter Anne.

The Find-A-Grave memorial for Anne Hansford, daughter of William Hansford and Sarah Sallis, show Anne married to Thomas Finnell:  http://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=gr&GRid=83614532

So.... not sure what to make of all of it.

Thanks, Darlene. I appreciate it (-:
From what I can find, it looks like Betty Gaeng is perhaps Betty Lou (Deebach) Gaeng, born circa 1927 in Seattle.  My guess is she's a descendant of Ann Hansford.  You might try contacting her (if she's still alive; I didn't come across an obituary) and see if she knows anything about this line.  Good luck!

I see that Betty I. Gaeng lived in Arlington, Washington at one time too so I will try to hunt her down, Her source may be bible records.

Also located an SAR application but the application nas the birth years are pushed 20 years later. It seems that The SAR application would be the most accurate as they would be verified somehow ?

I had seen the SAR application.  I didn't mention it since it didn't show the lineage for Ann Hansford.  It shows an Ann Hansford married a James Tutt, but then the next generation back is for the Tutt family...  So it doesn't help determine Ann's parents.  :(
Grasping at straws, Darlene (-:

This application, however,  tells me more about this Tutt family date-wise now.
